All members of the church between the ages of 18 and 40 years are eligible for membership of the Youth Department. The purpose of the Youth Department includes:

• Nurturing of spiritual gifts and talents of the young people in the service of the Lord.
• Spiritual education and formation of character in young people according to the Word of God.
• Mobilization of funds to support the objectives of the Department and of the church at large.
• The establishment and management of AFM fellowship groups at Educational Institutions and Schools in the country.

Activities of the department

Assembly, provincial and national conferences. The annual conferences are done in April at Rufaro Conference Centre in Masvingo.

Other activities include:
